Crisis Response

More Than Normal's Crisis Response service is far more than a critical incident intervention. Our Crisis Response Service is delivered by practitioners who have been there, done that and grown to help others. This lived-experience and shared common understanding is a fundamental element in the high quality of our services.

No where is this more necessary and tested than in the fallout from a crisis.

More Than Normal practitioners take turns on a callout roster for after-hours crisis response to provide immediate and short-time-after (STA) supports. However, you can also request your preferred practitioner who you may have a strong rapport with already.

More Than Normal provides Crisis Response Services on three main levels:

  1. Prevention (getting in before the crisis to give you tools that help you manage optimally in crisis situations),

  2. Intervention (getting supports to you as the crisis is unstoppably unfolding and taking you with it, in the attempt to halt the process or remove you from it), and

  3. Postvention (follow-up services, support groups, checking in, employment supports, etc).

While other services can  proclaim to provide such services, only we do it with culturally relevant and meaningful understanding that comes from lived experience.
